With a background in concrete restoration, waterproofing, specialty construction, and infrastructure sales, he is focused on driving profitable growth, strengthening operational performance, and delivering long-term value through disciplined leadership and consistent execution.

With over 20 years of experience in large-scale construction, concrete restoration, and project management, Richard brings deep industry knowledge and dependable leadership to every project. Raised in a construction family,  he developed  hands-on understanding of the trades from an early age.

Richard spent 12 years working with the City of Boulder, Colorado, where he gained extensive experience in municipal construction and infrastructure development. He then transitioned into residential builds and remodels, which quickly expanded into multifamily renovation projects.

Driven by a love for the ocean, Richard also spent time living in Key West, where he combined his career with his passion for sailing.

Margarita Planas is a dedicated Accounting Manager with over twenty years of experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis. With a strong background in accounting principles and practices, she has successfully led teams in delivering accurate financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

She excels in budgeting, managing cash flow and implementing financial controls that enhance operational efficiency. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines, also has a proven track record of driving process improvements that streamline accounting operations.

Her expertise includes financial statements preparation, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

Maggie Planas holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico. She is passionate about fostering a collaborative team environment and mentoring junior accounting staff to promote professional growth and development.

In her free time, Margarita enjoys working out at least five days a week, going to the beach, and spending quality time with her family, which helps her maintain a balanced lifestyle and a fresh perspective on problem-solving in the accounting field.

From Apprentice to Estimator, Matthew’s journey began with the basics. Born into the industry, he’s found a second family at Coastal in South Florida. With an open mind and a strong work ethic, Matthew has excelled over the past 10 years, becoming an expert in preparation, hands-on field work, and product and material knowledge. He knows what it takes to get the job done—delivering competitive bids while ensuring your project is managed properly, affordably, and up to industry standards.

Eyla Morales is a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Manager at Coastal Painting, bringing extensive experience in administrative support and office operations. She excels at streamlining processes, leading teams, and fostering an efficient, organized, and positive work environment. Eyla is recognized for her strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and commitment to operational excellence.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, with minors in Finance and Accounting.

Outside of work, Eyla enjoys playing pickleball and spending time at the beach. She has a passion for cooking and loves experimenting with new recipes. Family time is especially important to her, and she cherishes every opportunity to visit and connect with her loved ones.

Rafael Días is an accomplished Project Manager with over a decade of experience in construction, project management, and building regulations. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, he brings a global perspective to the management of complex construction projects—including restorations, renovations, and new builds.

Rafael’s core strengths include quality assurance, cost estimation, budgeting, and project scheduling, all aimed at delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, he is well-versed in structural analysis and design, resource management, and the implementation of effective safety protocols.

Throughout his career, Rafael has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multifaceted efforts, resulting in successful project delivery. Most recently, as a Project Manager at Coastal, he specialized in concrete restoration, spearheading projects with a strong emphasis on structural integrity and long-term durability.

His previous roles include managing multi-million-dollar developments at JC Construction, overseeing significant renovations for Colore in Brazil, and directing major construction initiatives as Senior Project Manager at DEF Construtora. Renowned for his proactive risk management and deep understanding of both contemporary and traditional construction practices, Rafael combines technical expertise with strategic leadership—making him a key driver of success across every phase of the project lifecycle.

Jonathan Santana is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with 15+ years of experience across multinational organizations, professional services, investment banking, and high-growth technology companies. He brings deep expertise in financial leadership, digital transformation, and operational optimization, with a strong track record of driving accuracy, scalability, and compliance in complex environments.

Jonathan specializes in revenue accounting, ERP implementations, and financial systems integration, with hands-on experience leading GAAP and ASC 606 compliance, M&A support, budgeting and forecasting, and enterprise-wide process improvements. Known for his analytical rigor and execution focus, he partners closely with executive leadership to deliver measurable, sustainable results that support growth and strategic decision-making.

With many years of experience in the commercial painting and concrete restoration industry, Sebastian Orozco serves as a trusted Estimator at Coastal Painting & Concrete Restoration. Known for a meticulous eye for detail and deep industry knowledge, he plays a key role in ensuring accurate, competitive bids that reflect both quality craftsmanship and client value.

Orozco brings a wealth of practical insight from years spent in the field, giving him a unique ability to assess project scope, identify potential challenges, and provide solutions that keep projects on time and on budget. Whether working with property managers, general contractors, or engineers,  Orozco is committed to upholding Coastal’s reputation for excellence, safety, and long-term durability in every estimate provided.

I am an Industrial Engineering student with experience in transportation planning, cost control, and finished product warehousing. I also have experience in sales analysis and customer service.

I most recently worked as a manufacturing specialist at Boston Scientific Costa Rica and previously held positions in Sales, billing, and handling. I enjoy working with blueprints, creating reports, and ensuring efficient operations.

I am motivated to apply my skills to the estimating process and contribute to successful project planning and execution.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, developing new skills, and playing video games.
